Long-Term Storage Maintenance

Maintain battery voltage within:

  • 13.28V–13.60V

Recommended maintenance intervals:

Battery TypeMaintenance Interval
Standard batteryEvery 2 months
Bluetooth / communication batteryAt least once per month

For long-term storage:

  • Recharge batteries periodically
  • Avoid prolonged low-voltage storage
  • Follow FIFO (First-In First-Out) inventory practices

5. Inspection Before Installation

Upon receiving batteries:

Inspect Packaging

Check for:

  • Shipping damage
  • Crushed cartons
  • Water exposure
  • Mishandling signs

Inspect Battery Condition

Verify:

  • No cracks
  • No swelling
  • No leakage
  • No missing hardware
  • No damaged terminals

Electrical Inspection

Before installation:

  • Verify correct polarity
  • Confirm battery voltage is within operating range
  • Ensure terminals are clean and dry

Terminal Cleaning

If necessary:

  • Use only a dry cloth
  • Do not use solvents
  • Do not use conductive cleaning materials

6. Installation Precautions

Installation Environment

The installation area should be:

  • Dry
  • Clean
  • Well ventilated
  • Free from conductive debris

Avoid:

  • Metal shavings
  • Loose hardware
  • Standing water
  • Fuel vapors
  • Open flames

Terminal Connections

Before connecting:

  • Confirm positive (+) and negative (-) polarity
  • Verify cable routing
  • Verify charger polarity

Tightening Terminals

  • Tighten terminals securely.
  • Do not overtighten.
  • Do not exceed specified torque values.

Safety During Installation

  • Avoid short circuits.
  • Keep metal tools away from exposed terminals.
  • Use insulated tools whenever possible.
  • Remove jewelry before installation.

Final Inspection

After installation:

  • Verify all connections
  • Confirm no loose hardware
  • Ensure cables are secured
  • Test equipment operation
  • Observe for abnormal conditions

7. Battery Working Requirements

Current Limits

Do not exceed:

  • Maximum charging current
  • Maximum discharge current

Excessive current may cause:

  • Overheating
  • Reduced service life
  • BMS protection shutdown
  • Internal circuit damage
  • Safety hazards

Low Voltage Operation

When battery voltage becomes low:

  • Recharge promptly
  • Avoid prolonged low-voltage storage

8. Daily Maintenance Recommendations

Recommended Usage Practices

  • Recharge batteries after use.
  • Avoid deep discharge whenever possible.
  • Shallow cycling may improve cycle life.
  • Periodically inspect terminals and cables.

Cleaning

  • Use only a dry cloth.
  • Do not use organic solvents.
  • Do not spray water directly onto battery packs.

Monitor for Abnormal Conditions

Immediately remove battery from service if any of the following occur:

  • Excessive heat
  • Swelling
  • Smoke
  • Odor
  • Leakage
  • Discoloration
  • Cracking
  • Unusual shutdown behavior

9. Strictly Prohibited Actions

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Reverse polarity connection
  • Reverse charging
  • Short-circuiting terminals
  • Immersing battery in water
