Instruction Manual for Dealers, Installers & Service Personnel

1. Charging Requirements

  • Use only a compatible lithium battery charger.
  • Recommended charging voltage: 14.4V ±0.2V.
  • Never reverse polarity during charging.
  • Never charge the battery below 0°C (32°F).
  • Do not exceed the specified maximum charging current.
  • Avoid prolonged overcharging.

2. Operating Environment

  • Recommended discharge operating range: -20°C to 60°C.
  • Above 45°C, ensure proper ventilation and heat dissipation.
  • Recommended charging range: 0°C to 55°C.
  • Recommended humidity: ≤85% RH.
  • Avoid condensation and excessive moisture.

3. Storage Requirements

  • Recommended storage temperature: 15°C–25°C.
  • Acceptable storage range: -20°C to 60°C.
  • Store batteries in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated area.
  • Keep away from water, heat sources, fire, corrosive materials, and flammable materials.
  • Recharge batteries every 2 months during long-term storage.
  • For Bluetooth/communication models, monthly maintenance charging is recommended.
  • Maintain storage voltage between 13.28V–13.60V.

4. Installation Precautions

  • Verify correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity before connection.
  • Ensure all terminals are tightened properly.
  • Do not exceed specified terminal torque.
  • Keep installation area free from metal debris, dust, and conductive materials.
  • Do not install in locations exposed to water immersion.
  • Use insulated tools during installation.

5. Safety Warnings

  • Do not short-circuit terminals.
  • Do not reverse charge or reverse polarity.
  • Do not immerse battery in water.
  • Do not open or disassemble battery pack.
  • Do not weld directly on battery terminals.
  • Do not pierce battery with sharp objects.
  • Do not drop, crush, or impact battery packs.
  • Do not use battery near strong static electricity or magnetic fields.
  • Do not overload beyond specified current limits.

6. Inspection Before Use

  • Inspect packaging for shipping damage.
  • Verify terminals and casing are intact.
  • Check for leakage, cracks, swelling, or loose terminals.
  • Confirm voltage is within normal operating range.
  • Clean dirty or corroded terminals with a dry cloth only.

7. Maintenance Recommendations

  • Recharge low batteries promptly.
  • Avoid deep discharge and prolonged low-voltage storage.
  • Shallow cycling is recommended to maximize cycle life.
  • Do not use organic solvents to clean the battery casing.
  • Remove battery from service immediately if abnormal conditions occur, including excessive heat, smoke, odor, swelling, discoloration, or leakage.

8. Fire & Emergency Handling

  • If battery fire occurs, use dry powder extinguisher or sand.
  • If electrolyte contacts eyes or skin, flush immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.

9. Transportation & Disposal

  • Do not transport batteries with conductive objects such as tools, jewelry, or metal parts.
  • Insulate terminals before disposal.
  • Recycle batteries according to local regulations.

10. Dealer / OEM Best Practices

  • Keep batteries at partial charge during warehouse storage.
  • Perform routine voltage inspection during long-term inventory storage.
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO method.
  • Record serial numbers and installation dates.
  • Ensure alternator and charging systems are lithium-compatible.
  • Verify cable sizing and terminal torque.
  • Perform final polarity inspection before system startup.
  • Conduct operational verification after installation.
